National Museum of American Jewish History: 360-years of Stories

As the only museum in the United States solely dedicated to the American Jewish experience, the National Museum of American Jewish History celebrates over 360 years of how Jews migrated to America. Established in 1976, NMAJH draws international attention to Philadelphia for its telling recreations of Jewish life in America, dating as far back as 1654. Since its inception, the museum, located on Independence Mall, has displayed more than 100 unique exhibitions, with over 25,000 Americana artifacts in its permanent collection.
